This is the building Rick's Singles Ward meet in. He has been the 2nd counselor for over a year now. It is the 2nd oldest LDS chapel in Mesa Arizona, which was built in 1912. The first oldest sits right next door and was sold to a charter school (Heritage Academy). Rick's ward is the only ward that is currently using the building right now. It sits in downtown Mesa about 3 blocks west of the temple at 15 West 1st Ave.
This is a picture of the edition which was built in 1987 adding a nice kitchen and classrooms.
Stained glass in the chapel adds a nice touch. This is the singles ward choir practising for our upcoming stake conference. Our Stake President heard them sing and wanted them to sing for the Saturday night adult session. This is the view from the pulpit. When you walk in you really feel the peace tranquility. The spanish style outdoor courtyard is very popular with wedding receptions and funerals. The cultural hall has a stage and it also has a partial basement which has been turned into a scout room. Heritage Academy also uses the building for their seminary classes. The singles are incharge of cleaning it and do a great job every Saturday morning with at least 20 young adults showing up to help out.

Baby Shower for my Grandbaby to Be
I put on a baby shower for my daughter in law Ivette who is going to have a baby girl in May.
This is a picture of my niece Annette and me.
The theme was pink and brown. So I tried to make pink and brown food.
Lachelle made delicious cake pops - very cute idea for the thank you gift. Rolled up cake with cream cheese in a ball dipped in chocolate.
This looked better at night when with the candles glowing.
I made the rose buds out of baby socks rolled up with florist wire and tape..

Lehi Days Rodeo -Lehi Stake
My brother came down to visit our folks since my mom and dad have both been in and out of the hospital and I got him sucked into helping me at our stake Rodeo BBQ. We served up 2,200 bbq lunch boxes. It was a delicious bbq beef that was cooked in a pit all night and potatoes cooked in dutch ovens, coleslaw, beans and a roll. The line of customers was probably 1/2 hour waiting time but well worth the wait. We loved helping out at Lehi Days it's such a fun tradition and such good memories. We also got to see both my boys Jon and Derek and my husband Rick ride in a bike race that morning. Jon came in 2nd and Derek came in 7th in their age division. Rick rode for the practise and fun. I think he came in 12th.
