Carson's 1st Birthday Dance Party

Carson had a BBQ dance party for his first birthday. He had fun bobbin to the music and eating or smearing pudding all over his face.

Here he is rockin out to the beat.
The theme of the party was farm animals and Lachelle made a cute cake with a cow and sheep
grazing in a pasture.
Everyone had a great time! Happy Birthday Carson our Number #1 Grandson.

One More for the Road

Diane Goodman's birthday was today and we just had the best time getting together with a bunch of friends and sharing good times and laughter. She'll kill me for posting this picture, but I love to torment her and she is always such a good sport about it. As you can tell she loves wearing her birthday glasses in front of innocent bystanders.
She is such a great friend and I love her to pieces.
Happy Birthday Girlfriend!!! Thanks for reading my blog, I think your about the only one left that does.

"March"ing On - Birthday Shout Outs

March is a great month for birthdays. Rick's dad Frank Green or affectionately "Buck"as we know him turned 86 this month. He and his wife Wanda raised 5 children and built his beautiful home in So. Calif on about an acre or more of fruit and citrus trees. He is an amazing person. Always working on some project in the garage or house. He is a whiz at crossword puzzles, something I have never been able to do. He is a retired High School Math teacher and also taught College Algebra at night. He can fix just about anything that is broken, and has a soft spot for lonely stray cats. One in particular he is trying to patiently tame. He has been an executive ward financial clerk for 45 years (very dedicated). He still goes fishing twice a year with his brother to their sacred spot on the Madison River in Montana. Whenever we visit them our favorite thing to do is get around the fireplace and have a roaring fire and a bowl of popcorn and chat about old times or solving world problems. We love you Dad - your the BEST.

Happy Birthday Shout Out

Happy Birthday Ivette, my darling daughter- in- law married to my son Jon.
We all love her to pieces. She is so talented and cute. Ivette was born in Iowa,
grew up most of her life in Canada, graduated from BYU in education and came
down to Mesa with her roommates to teach. She met Jon, got married, and then
got her real estate license. Worked in the real estate industry for a couple years, and
now is teaching High School Biology. She is the sweetest, kindest person you would
ever meet and we are so lucky to have her in our family.

(Here's a turtle chocolate cheese cake just for you!

Happy Birthday Rick with a Picnic in the Park

January 19th is the day Rick was born into this world one month after me or he would say one year after me. He is always reminding me I'm a year older but we're just a month apart. (Just different years). Are you thoroughly confused or do I need to say it over one more time....January 19th is also the day Rick proposed to me, aah so sentimental. I love you Rick. I fell totally in love with Rick when we were riding bikes down Provo canyon and I looked back and saw his beautiful hair blowing in the wind, (nobody wore helmets back then), and he still has that beautiful hair. I would still love him if he lost his hair. Now isn't that a coincidence that bicycles are such a big part of our lives still. What I also love about Rick is his sense of humor, he loves to make people laugh and have a good time. Especially in dull boring church meetings. What I also love about Rick is that he is a neat nick. I NEVER have to pick up after him unlike all my children. He also can clean a kitchen up better than I can or anybody else by that matter. What I love about Rick is that he can fix anything with wheels on them, cars, bikes, motorcycles etc. He always gives me a kiss and hug before he goes to work which I love and he always loves to take me out on a date even after 30 years of marriage. He is my best friend and I love him so much. We had a fun little Birthday picnic on Saturday at Candlelight park. Even though he could only walk on crutches he still made the best of it and enjoyed holding his grandbaby Carson. The newest pride and joy of his life. He is a wonderful father and grandfather and had always upheld his church callings. He's worked in many Bishoprics, High Councils, Young Men callings, served a mission in Argentina, helped all his boys get their eagles and go on missions and now is in the Singles Ward Bishopric. He is always full of energy and has run in marathons, triathalons, 100 mile bike races. He is a real estate broker and has run his own commercial real estate company, S-G Mgt. for 25 years. He will do anything for anybody. I am so proud to call him my husband. Your the best! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Jon

Happy Birthday to my son Jon who's 26 today. When Jon was born and we brought him home from the hospital there was a giant wind storm the night before. Tumbleweeds were piled up as high as cars. I remember my mom came over from Calif. to help. The next day my husband Rick had a marathon to run. It was so hard on him he couldn't walk from the car to our front door and he came crawling. I'm so glad I had my mom because now we had to take care of two babies! I guess you could call Jon a strong willed child. If he got something in his mind he wanted to do it was impossible to stop him. At Disneyland I had to put a leash on him so he wouldn't run away. He was always great at any sport, his favorite was soccer and basketball but he also was good at baseball too. Now he's into cycling and next week will compete in his first triathalon. He and Ivette have been married 2 years now. He runs his own company selling bank owned homes. He's a hard worker and also attends college. We love you Jon. HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Young Women Leaders Have More FUN

Happy Birthday!!
Young Women Leaders are out for their birthday luncheon in honor of Jane B. Taylor's birthday who is the 1st Counselor and works with me over Mia Maids. We had lunch near the Campus of ASU in Tempe. The place was named "House of Tricks", we don't know why but it sounded alluring. Food was excellent, I had the BBQ Chicken salad, yummy. We ate outside on the front porch on a gorgeous sunny day. Louisa was the organizer and did an excellent job as always. Nettie was there (our newly appointed President), Julie (our new secretary), who loves quiche..... Noel , Marisa and her daughter Brianna and baby Holly, Diane G. and Diane H. two of my favorite women who just got released from Young Women but will always be honorary leaders. I've been in Young Women for about 6 1/2 years now and can say I still am loving it. It's totally the leaders that make it so wonderful (and the girls too). I learn so much from everyone and look forward to the weekly lessons, Wednesday night activities, girls camp, Stake Dances, Firesides, Pioneer Treks, Stake Youth Conferences, Ward Youth Conferences, etc. etc. I guess you get use to the constant commotion, but hey - if it can keep me young. We had a great time, as always and like I always say, "Young Women Leaders Know How to Have Fun"! ( That's our job).

Uncle Greg's Surprise Birthday Party /28th June

Charlotte surprised Greg for his birthday with a big birthday bash at Greg's parents house.
He had no idea about the party since it was a week before his birthday. It was fun to hear him load up his coke glass with ice before we surprised him. I liked the picture with Grampa Green and Greg and Rick. Greg has broken his neck a few times and I'm sure the neck pillow will come in handy.
It was fun to visit with Greg's kids, I took a picture of David and Christopher and coined them "HAIR and HAIRLESS".
