Pat's Run 2010
30,000 people signed up for Pat's Run this year. This is our 3rd year running it. This time we signed up as a family team, "the Flying Green Burritos". Danny and Lachelle had been running the most to gear up for the race, and Lachelle twisted her ankle a few days before the race and couldn't go. So Sorry.
The race was about 25 min. slow in starting. We waited about 45 minutes till we started moving.
this dog looked like a lion. This man had prosthetic hands and feet....amazing. Running into ASU stadium, on the left side you can see the football players high 5-ing everyone.Kenzie me and Rick all ran into the stadium together such a great feeling.People everywhere. There were youngsters and oldsters. Our shoes had a tab that recorded our time. Before the race, just a sea of people. This is Jolie the dog, she was tired before the race even started.

Tour De Phoenix 2010
Tour De Phoenix
Jon, Derek and Rick all rode in the Tour De Phoenix today. The race was 72 miles starting at Red Mountain high School and going up and over Fountain Hills and over to Sagauro Lake and up the backside of Usary Mountain. They did great with Derek coming in 17th overall (amazing with just under 6 month of riding after his mission), Jon got 33rd (I think he tired himself out after coming in first over the top of Shea Blvd.) and Rick came in 4th of the 50 plus age group. I'm so proud of my guys. There was over 1,000 riders doing the 72 mile race.
Ivette is such a trooper getting up early to see the guys start. She will soon be having that cute baby girl in May and she's still teaching Biology in Jr. High.Derek didn't pass up a free massage after the race. You can see where his wounds are of a recent crash last week from hitting a cattle guard on the Beeline Hwy. Went head over heals.Next week will be Pat's Run and Danny and Lachelle and Mackenzie me and Rick are running under the Family Team Name "Flying Green Burritos". I don't think I'll be doing any "flying" more like "Burro" pace. But this will be my 3rd year in a row doing it. I actually got on my bike this week and rode 21 miles up and over Las Sendas. Didn't feel too bad since I've been going to the gym all winter and enjoying the spinning classes.

Spring is in the Air
The weather has been so nice that I thought it would be fun to have a dinner in the Secret Garden. It took a bit of doing but I got the lights and lanterns up and it was very cozy there
and we all enjoyed a great steak dinner after Priesthood. I also had my dinner club girls come over and get together out there. It felt very magical. You cannot believe the sweet smell coming
from all the citrus blossoms and jasmine, especially at night it is very potent.
This is my mom who looks really good for 89 (her birthday is next week).
Your never too old to go Easter Egg hunting.
Bentley is 7 yrs. old and showing a few gray hairs around the nose. He is such a great loyal dog.
Snap Dragons are out of control and overflowing along with the tomato plant that just grew on its own.
