Bishop's Quilt - Harris Park Ward

I presented the Harris Park Ward Friendship Quilt to our Bishop today right after sacrament. It was so wonderful to finally present it to him. The primary kids got up and sang him a song they have been practicing about Bishops and then I said a few words and gave him the quilt. He was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma this year and has gone through many chemo treatments and a few more to go. I thought it would be nice if the ward made him a quilt. About 50 families made a square representing their family and then we sewed them all together and Diane H. and her mother in law finished it off by tying it and hand stitched the border. It turned out really good. But the really good news is that he is cancer free. Thank you to everyone who helped in making this possible. Especially Diane H. for helping me pick out material and being my "right hand man" and doing a lot of the hand work with the help of her mother in law and Debbie V. for using her embroidery machine to make the title square. And for our great ward who are always willing and able to help out wherever possible. We Love Our Bishop!!
