Gingerbread House

This is the most amazing gingerbread house I've ever seen. It's a replica of Dolore's house.
Madge and her family made it for Dolore's. Madge is on the right next to me, then Dolores and Lou Ann.

Christmas Eve - Santa Came Early

We opened all our presents on Christmas Eve, since the following day we were heading down to Rocky Point Mexico. Derek got everyone Snuggies for Christmas.
Chopper loved ripping apart his presents. He was showing Carson how a real pro does it.
Bentley wishing Carson a Merry Christmas."Snuggie Time" - very warm and cozy. Michael was not in the picture because he was working at the airport till 8:30 .

Gramma and Grampa also excited about Santa.
Carson enjoyed controlling the train.
Everyone had a great time - I was feeling a little sore in my leg. I got stung by a scorpion in the morning. It was hiding in my slipper and stung my toe. Rick shook the slipper and out flopped a huge scorpion, I just about fainted from the shock. I think they are going to get back at me for killing a bunch of them this summer. (Which was my favorite night time past time.)

Christmas South of the Border

We drove down to Rocky Point Mexico Christmas morning. Santa greated us as we entered town.
We stayed at the Las Palomas beach condos.
This was our front porch at the condo. It was only a few steps up from the beach and pool area.

Kenzie and Derek enjoying a dip in the jacuzzi.
Sunsets are always beautiful.
We picked up some homemade tortillas at the corner store.
Went to the bigger super market for the "hard stuff" (salsa).
A view of the condos from across the bay.
Kenzie doing some "Power Shopping" in town. Not that many people day after Christmas. I think more people show up for New Years Celebrations.
Mexican selling shrimp. He pinches the head and the tail flies up.
Jon's favorite Mexican hang out at "Luca's". The best grilled chicken, beans and rice.
Our condo was the one on the far right at the corner.
Another sunset pose.
Lots of dogs come to vacation, this was just one of many I took pictures of.
Our condo was the one in the middle, at Spring Break we camp where the motor homes are
parked on the right of the picture.
We went to church but just missed the passing of the sacrament.
This is a vendor, one of many who walk up and down the beach selling their wares. That's how all shopping should be done. Sitting on the beach and they come to you.
Derek and Kenzie playing horseshoes.
Boche Ball was also fun to play on the beach.
I even got to ride a horse on the beach. First time ever. It was so much fun!
Norma, Ivette and Kenzie and another furry friend. Hopefully we'll be making this our family tradition at Christmas time.

Fun with Carson

Carson came to spend a couple nights with Gramma and Grampa and we had so much fun with him. Here he is sitting on Santa's lap at our Ward Christmas Party. I think this was his first time sitting on his lap and he did real good. Not scared or crying, I think he looks like a little angel. I love Santa's outfit and his beard so soft.
We went on a backyard train tour. The person that owns Tia Rosa's is a train addict. His whole backyard is one big train track. He has easily about 100 grand tied up into the toy trains.
I took Carson to the zoo again and we saw the other half of the zoo. Ivette's mother is down
from Canada and I took her with me.
Gentle Giant goat at the petting zoo.
Got a smile out of Carson in the goat pen.
Almost a smile.

Norma and Carson having fun on the slide.

Home Depot Garden Club

If you go online to Home Depot and register into their Garden Club, every once in awhile
they will send you pretty good coupons. Thanksgiving they gave out Mums and Christmas
it's Poinsettia's. Plus they have good tips on gardening.

Thanksgiving 2009 Come and Gone

Just some pictures of Singles Ward Family Night Thanksgiving dinner. We only cooked for about 95 people. Fed them a feast, turkey and ham and all the extras!
They all brought cans of food for the service project.
Beautiful Thanksgiving day with Carson pullling Chopper in the wagon, Jon looking on.

Me working in the kitchen like a dog.
Someone looks like they are enjoying themselves with non alcholic beverages.
Traditional Thanksgiving meal. I love it!
Next day we went to California to visit Rick's folks. This is what we woke up to on the mountains, lovely snow.
